According to research carried out by The Bank of Scotland, Stirling remains one of the most affordable cities in which to live in the UK when comparing house prices to local wages.
Last year the average property price was over four times the local average earnings below Scotland’s average of over five times local wages, and seven times for the rest of the UK.
This year makes it the fifth year in a row that Stirling has been ranked the most affordable city in which to live. Glasgow, Dundee, Inverness and Perth also featured in the top 20.
Home affordability has improved across Scotland in general over the last year as a whole and the average house price across all Scottish cities increased by 1.8% with a rise of 2% in average earnings.
